There is a grace period (90 days if I recall correctly?) during which users can remove the device from supervision.We've occasionally found that we had to do an 'Erase all content and settings' in Apple Configurator before the iPad would properly pick up the profile configured in Enrollment Program Tokens.From here, configure the iPad as you would if it had been purchased through the DEP. In Intune, navigate to your Enrollment Program Token and synchronise.Reassign the device to the Intune MDM server in ABM.You should see the iPad you just prepared being assigned to an MDM server called 'Apple Configurator 2' In ABM, check recent device assignments.Follow through the steps to prepare the device, choosing the MDM server and organisation configured previously.

This is where I am now stuck as I'm having difficulty finding information on how to prepare them in Apple Configurator 2. Created a profile within the above token (with settings Supervised - Yes, and Locked enrollment - Yes)
Added an enrollment program token in enrollment program tokensĤ. Configured the Apple MDM Push Certificate in Microsoft 365 Device Management.ģ. In MS 365 Device Management navigated to Device enrollment > Apple enrollmentĢ. We currently have Microsoft 365 Device Management ( ) and an Apple Business account for the company ( )ġ. My understanding is that I need to prepare these iPads manually in Apple Configurator 2 on a Mac to be able to use them in supervised mode. I have some iPads that were purchased by the company through a normal reseller (not through apple Business).
